Do you need cockroach removal? Cockroaches are easily one of the most successful insects to inhabit the earth because they can adapt to many environmental changes. There are approximately 3,500 species worldwide, but only about 70 species found in the United States.
Occasionally, cockroaches can be found indoors. If so, they inhabit areas that are fairly moist and warm. Cockroaches like to hide in very tight places such as cracks and other crevices much like, but not limited too, the void between a cabinet and the wall. It is common to find them congregating in, or near utility motors and electrical units, due to the production of heat. So, naturally kitchens are a prime location, not to mention kitchens are most likely where their main food and water sources are located.
Cockroaches are not social insects. They typically forage alone and other wise behave in an individualistic manner. They are most active at night and can be found foraging for starches, greases and sweets.
If a heavy cockroach infestation goes unchecked for an extended period of time, a distinct odor can develop due to their odorous secretions. Cockroaches can also carry disease-producing bacteria on their bodies, as well as spread allergens from their excrement or their casts. These bacteria and allergens are what can cause people to get sick if contaminated food items, or surfaces are ingested or touched by humans.
